Veronica is an ambitious, intelligent, outspoken, and tough newscaster who works in the 1970s at WYPN in Asheville, North Carolina and later at KVWN in San Diego. She has feelings for her co‑anchor Ron Burgundy; but in a field dominated by men, she is torn between furthering her career or following her heart.
